The most important step towards answering questions regarding dentistry is dental research. Dental Researchers Club was set up in September 2010. Its primary aim is to invite volunteer experienced and young interested professors, dentists and students to make a perfect group to perform any kind of research projects (observational, analytic, experimental, etc) in dentistry and help to improve oral health programs and protocols in our community.

The list of the proposed projects is as follows:

· To evaluate the caries status of school children and the effect of oral hygiene training on it

· To study the caries status in patients with systemic disorders (such as diabetics, Multiple Sclerosis, cancer) and the evaluation of the effect of oral hygiene training on their dental and oral status

· To study the effect of oral hygiene on saliva pH and plaque pH

· To study the knowledge and attitude of dentists regarding the new caries diagnosis and assessment methods

· To study the dentists’ knowledge of new caries prevention methods

· To study the dentists’ knowledge regarding the infection control guidelines
